Welcome!        Bienvenidos!

Welcome and thank you for visiting Emanuel Baptist Church of Cobb County. We hope that our website will guide you through the variety of worship services and fellowship opportunities available in our church. We would love to meet you and to share the love of Jesus Christ with you personally.

OUR MISSION

We believe that our job is to edify our members so we can equip them with the word of God to reach our neighbors, our communities, our nation, and the world.  Our job is to continually show God's love and concern to others, and to open our arms to those in search of the truth.

We are a church that:

  • Encourages a personal relationship with God rather than just religion

  • Accepts the Bible as our basis of what we believe and do

  • Demonstrates the love of God in the community

  • Emphasizes the importance of family in offering real answers to those common problems

  • Looks for opportunities to personally minister in the lives of each individual

  • Commits to submit to the civil authorities, because we recognize that these have been established by God

Salvation

We believe in the saying "Once Saved, Always Saved!" This fact is referred to as the doctrine of "eternal security". The salvation in Christ is not temporary but eternal/everlasting. This evidence is written in scripture in John 3:15-18. Christ says, "15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus also states in John 10:28-30: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

The scripture defines exactly what we believe that NO ONE can take our salvation away from us. Once a person has truly and humbly accepted Christ as their personal Savior, the Lord embraces us with his love and his security.

When we truthfully turn to Christ, our lives begin to change and that is when we can humbly say,

"ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED"

What if I commit a sin after Being saved?

The beauty of our Lord and Heavenly Father is that there is NO sin that he cannot forgive.  The Bible holds powerful scriptures that support this doctrine. Some our found in Romans 8:38-39, Jude 24, and Ephesians 4:30.

To learn more about Salvation and how to take this STEP of FAITH, please do not hesitate to come, and talk to us about this important decision. We are here to help and guide you.
